Mprove are bringing together a team of capable and experienced NHS performance management specialists to support a number of high profile National Programmes.

The team we develop will work as part of a dynamic programme focused on driving delivery of the key performance commitments and priorities in the NHS Long Term Plan and NHS Operational Planning and Contracting Guidance.

Mprove will be providing direct support to National executive groups and other senior teams, working closely with regional teams, national programme teams, other national organisations, and central government departments such as the DHSC.

The outputs of our work will include, but not limited to;

  • Producing national briefing materials from a variety of sources assessing performance and delivery risk;
  • Liaising with analytical and regional teams to produce authoritative yet easy to understand reports to co-ordinate performance improvement across the country;
  • Working with national programme teams to ensure that policy is developed in a way which is appropriate, proportionate and ultimately deliverable;
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and execute assessments of assurance against national performance priorities, and associated programmes of work;
  • Facilitating delivery of national performance priorities through building close working relationships with national, regional and local leadership teams accountable for performance delivery.

The Mprove Team will be uniquely placed to bring data, analysis and soft intelligence together to form insight and then develop part of the national narrative on NHS performance. Using insight to help inform an assessment of delivery and to co-ordinate a recovery response where required.

The key mechanisms to help do this are:

  • Insight development – synthesise national performance data, analysis and local intelligence to form a picture of progress against priorities
  • Performance reporting – ensuring senior stakeholders and relevant groups have full oversight of performance and are informed by ‘one version of the truth’.
  • Preparing briefings – develop detailed briefings on performance against core performance standards, reporting risks to delivery and actions being undertaken to address poor performance.
  • Supporting national governance and accountability – we provide reports, analysis, and briefings. as well as support for key meetings where appropriate.
  • Providing National Assurance - Ensuring that NHS commissioners and providers are continuing to meet their ongoing responsibilities to patients and the public, delivering to their plans to improve outcomes.

To be considered to be part of the team we will need you to have the following experience;

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the context for NHS delivery and performance requirements
  • Demonstrable specialist knowledge in a relevant discipline
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
  • Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of Financial Systems e.g. monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement.
  • Must be able to deal with pressure and conflict of ideas coming from senior management and deal with them resolutely and in a professional manner.
  • Clear communicator with excellent written and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately to a diverse and varied range of audiences consisting of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders at pace.

We are looking to bring a minimum of four additional associates into our team. The work will be contracted with you as a statement of work outside IR35 for a period of 6 months. We are looking to pay £350 per day + VAT to SME subcontractors able to support us. The work will be full-time based entirely remotely with a monthly meeting at our offices in Birmingham.

We are also open to hearing from other analytics & performance focused consultancy firms who have capacity to support rapid mobilisation of this programme in partnership with us.
