Job Details

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Associate Director of Performance, for up to 3 months in the first instance.

The postholder will be responsible for leading the overall performance assurance process for the organisation.

Candidates must have experience in leading the development of a performance strategy and culture within a healthcare organisation.

The role will be inside IR35 and will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at Band 8c. Mix of on site and remote working.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and responsibility the development of a performance strategy and culture, including the performance development plan which serves the organisation’s short-term and long-term needs;
  • Ensuring the development of performance strategies and approaches to meet local need and
  • national priorities, supporting the sustained achievement of long term needs;
  • Developing and implementing performance metrics and outcome measures, and ensuring these are aligned to effective risk management arrangements;
  • Work in partnership with services and partners to ensure service delivery or improvements in response to national initiatives and policies.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Masters degree qualification or equivalent level of experience;
  • Significant experience of managing the performance assurance process at this level within an NHS organisation;
  • Extensive NHS senior management experience;
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
