An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint a Quality Improvement Manager.

The post will be working in the East of England across 2 sites with 1-2 days per week allocated for remote working. This is an interim post for 3 – 6 months working on a band 8b inside IR35.

To lead on all aspects of Clinical Governance Quality improvement in the Maternity Services Division.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Must have strong Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance experience and able to liaise with the CQC with a good understanding of CQC action plans/implementation;
  • Management of a small team within the Governance Division;
  • To assist with a future CQC inspection, implementing good governance prior to the visit and able to follow up with action plans/set standards after the visit;
  • The post holder will be an operational governance support to the division and fully capable in preparing detailed reports/presentations for the division at weekly meetings;
  • Lead the management of an efficient, effective, and high-quality changes to services that can meet statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements;
  • Support and enable systems to achieve improvements in health outcomes for patients across, identifying issues and opportunities, reducing variation and delivering improvements across pathways.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Must have experience within the NHS/Healthcare setting;
  • Extensive experience Quality improvement within a senior role;
  • Essential that the successful candidate can hit the ground running, have credibility within this field and an ability to engage quickly, driving the agenda forward and delivering at pace.
  • Detailed reporting writing skills;
  • Excellent leadership skills, coupled with presenting and chairing meetings;
  • Able to communication effectively and provide details reports/analysis to stakeholders.
