Airedale NHS Foundation Trust

Chief Executive

West Yorkshire; Attractive package

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is an award-winning hospital and community services trust with a workforce of over 3,500 and 350 committed volunteers serving a population of over 200,000 people across West and North Yorkshire and East Lancashire.  We are committed to working with our partners and our community to put patient and population needs first, and provide excellent, innovative, efficient, and diverse services which deliver safe, high quality care.

At a time of transformational change in the delivery of health and care services, we continue to respond and adapt to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and focus on the recovery of services for our local population. We have an unwavering focus on securing the future for our Trust for the benefit of the diverse population that we serve. We are proud to be an anchor institution in our local area and we continue to develop our approach to the sustainability agenda with an ambition to become a carbon neutral hospital.

Our new Chief Executive will build on strong foundations in quality and financial performance and a track record of effective engagement with our colleagues and our partners across the health and care economy.   We are committed to the continued integration of health and care services locally and to working regionally through the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts and Act as One programme across Bradford District and Craven to ensure the sustainable delivery of high-quality services across our wider population. Our new Chief Executive will have people at the fore of all they do, from ensuring colleagues wellbeing to delivering improvements in health outcomes and a reduction in health inequalities for the populations that we serve.

We are seeking a collaborative and innovative leader with relevant executive experience including demonstrable leadership within broader health and care systems and an understanding of acute and community service delivery.  You will understand that great care for our patients and service users starts with engaging with and looking after our people. You will thrive in a complex and dynamic stakeholder environment and bring a track record of delivering sustained change beyond organisational boundaries.

An energetic individual, you will be a skilled communicator with the personal qualities and credibility that will inspire all those involved in delivering healthcare locally and in the surrounding regions.  Most of all you will share our values and those of our health and care system and ensure that we continue to put people first and deliver the right care, every time; keeping people ‘happy, healthy and at home’.

Closing date for applications is: Thursday 27th January 2022

Final interviews: 15th and 16th February 2022
