Executive Director of Nursing and AHPs

Doncaster

£120,000-£130,000

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) provides a broad and diverse range of services for patients across mental health, physical health, learning disability and drug and alcohol services. With an annual budget of £163 million, we employ 3,400 people, a staff bank of 470 people and have an active volunteer base. We currently provide ‘place based’ services across a geographical footprint of Doncaster, Rotherham and North Lincolnshire, serving a population of 735,000 people. As a significant player in the region, we need to respond to the needs of our diverse population and foster new ways of working within the wider health and care partnerships to ensure seamless pathways of care. The Trust has a strong financial track record, and it faces some operational challenges as it adapts to the changing needs of the communities we serve.

We are now seeking a new Director of Nursing and Allied Health Practitioners, a Board-level role reporting into the CEO, with a broad range of responsibilities including providing the strategic direction for workforce, safeguarding and infection, prevention and control.  The postholder will be part of the Trust senior management team and will provide professional input into the definition and development of the Trust’s strategic vision. The postholder will also work closely with the Medical Director in developing safe and high-quality services to achieve the best possible outcomes in regulatory inspections.

You will be a NMC registered Nurse with a significant track record of leadership within either the NHS or Private Sector. You will have experience of managing teams through transformation in the pursuit of achieving regulatory excellence. You will bring excellent leadership and communication skills and an ability to influence at all levels. You will be comfortable being an effective ambassador for the Trust, developing and refining best practice to achieve the best outcomes for our service users and staff.

This is a demanding and exciting role that provides an opportunity to be at the forefront of a successful, progressive NHS provider.  You will need to demonstrate a strong motivation for enhancing health and care services and you will have the highest standards of personal integrity. You will also be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of, and alignment to, our values.

To learn more about us, this exceptional opportunity and how to apply, please contact Steph Crossland, Robin Staveley or Mark Bate at GatenbySanderson on 0113 268 0704 for an initial discussion.

Closing date: 9am Monday 31st January 2022, Final Panel 1st March 2022
