Group Director of Operations/Deputy COO

6 Month assignment starting immediately

Band 9 at £66.15 per hour (Inside IR35)- rate negotiable dependant on experience

I am currently partnered with a large Acute Trust in the Midlands who are currently looking for a Group Director of Operations/Deputy COO for a period whilst out for the permanent position. This will have a focus of delivering their operational performance within the division of Urgent and Emergency Care.

Your duties as Group Director of Operations/Deputy COO:

  • Work with line management to set the tone and behaviours for the department and to deputise to the COO role when necessary.
  • Delivery of the directorates required operational requirements, including key performance indicators and relevant national and local standard of performance.
  • Create safe and efficient processes within the division.
  • Professional develop the current substantive Operational team.

Experience needed as Group Director of Operations/Deputy COO:

  • Extensive senior Operational experience within either Medicine or ED
  • Experience of working with external agencies and representing a trust at senior level.
  • Knowledge of service improvement techniques and how to apply them.
  • Reliable and driven to organisational change.
  • Available references for most recent 2 year's roles.
