Join us on our journey to outstanding!

An exciting role for an inspirational nurse leader with a strong future focus

Are you an experienced nurse director, looking to accelerate your executive career? Or are you an aspiring senior nurse with the determination, ambition and aptitude to make the move into this crucial executive board level position?  If so, this exciting and demanding opportunity will be just what you are looking for.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who shares our values, our passion and our ambitions and who can be highly influential across our organisation and the wider health and care system.

You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced executive team, at a time when we are embarking on a programme of organisational development and quality improvement. We are a leading innovator in mental health and community services and are looking for a Chief Nurse who has a future focus on clinical careers and workforce development; on the use of technology in nursing and AHPs; and on sustainable delivery of patient centred quality across all services.

As a member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will have an integral role in contributing to Trust strategy, policy and delivery of our objectives in this incredibly exciting and vibrant period of organisational growth and development.

We are the second highest research active trust in mental health in the Country.  We are an integrated mental health and community services Foundation Trust, and this places us at the heart of delivering the Long-Term Plan ambitions in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. There are opportunities to develop an academic component to the role; to undertake research or to be at the leading edge of MedTech adoption in care.

At Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust we take PRIDE in our values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Dignity and Empowerment and these drive all that we do – and more importantly - how we do it.

As such, you will need to be a credible and supportive leader, with a focus on nurturing and developing a culture of teamwork, excellence, and high-quality patient care. As the voice of the nursing perspective, you will also be responsible for leading the digital medicine agenda, using your collegiate manner of working to ensure staff are engaged throughout and their experiences and knowledge are capitalised upon.

Experience of working within an integrated care system is desirable and a clear focus on driving the Quality agenda in CPFT is essential. You will also need to understand and be wholly committed to behaving in line with our significant core values: Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Dignity and Empowerment (PRIDE).

If you wish to have a confidential conversation to discuss this opportunity further, in the first instance please call Scott Haldane, Interim Chief Executive, via 01223 219466 or Stephen Legood, Director of People & Business Development on 01223 219474.

You’ll need to upload a copy of your CV as well as completing a short application form and a supporting statement that addresses the criteria set out in the person specification. If you require any help and support, please contact Rachel King on 07976 930912.
