Job Details
Morgan Law are working with a CCG to recruit a Interim Senior Commissioning Manager for Mental Health & LD. The post holder will lead work across the CCG and Council to commission services for individual clients with learning disabilities and/or mental health challenges (including s117 mental health “aftercare”). The post holder will be the lead representative of the CCG as part of the LD/ASD transformation programme. The scope of the role covers services for adults but not children and young people
Overview also includes:
- Leading commissioning activities on behalf of the CCG in relation to the commissioning (and joint commissioning with the Council) of services for adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges.
- Leading work on behalf of the CCG to agree funding packages (and joint funding packages with the Council) for eligible clients, including as a member of the Joint Funding Panel Adults (JFPA). The postholder will review individual client cases, histories and outcomes in order to support value for money funding decisions.
- Write and present high level reports related to services to adults Learning Disabilities and Mental Health to key senior local boards including the Executive, Integrated Commissioning Board (ICB) and Health and Wellbeing Board.
- Coordinating work across social workers, mental health practitioners, providers and other services to ensure clients’ commissioned services are safe, meet identified needs and are good value for money.
- Liaising with the NHS Foundation Trust and adult social care (in particular) to deliver a partnership agenda of improvements for adults with learning disabilities and mental health.
- Supporting the effective and rigorous management of CCG budgets for clients with learning disabilities and mental health packages of care, including the mental health s117 CCG budget.
- Being the CCG’s representative on the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board and delivering actions as part of this Board to deliver the Learning Disability Strategy.
- Acting as the representative to the learning disabilities/autism spectrum disorder (ASD) transformation programme including as a member of the programme’s operational board
