A large NHS Trust are currently looking to appoint an Associate Director of Work, Health and Wellbeing. This post will need to be held by a registered nurse or AHP, due to holding overall line management responsibility for the Trusts Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery and implementation of our Health and Wellbeing Strategy, building and agreeing a sustainable wellbeing offer for the Trust;
  • Manage the Health and Wellbeing Support Service providing proactive interventions to
  • individuals and teams and building psychological safety across the hospital’s sites; also management of satellite services that are inhouse to the Trust;
  • Establish an evidence base to inform the ongoing delivery of the wellbeing strategy and to inform future development of the strategy and wider culture change;
  • Build on the existing work with partners to take a systemic organisational development approach to wellbeing across the Group, developing an antecedent approach to measuring the impact of our wellbeing interventions;
  • Developing a sustainable approach to wellbeing delivering the ambition of the wellbeing Strategy and securing future funding including business cases as and when required to support this;
  • Key member of the People Directorate senior team supporting the development of the People Strategy and delivery of the NHS People plan objectives by leadership on specific strategic objectives;
  • Produce regular progress reports and updates to the senior leadership team and
  • Trust Board as required.
Successful candidate will have:
  • Current registration to the NMC or HCPC, with additional qualifications around OH speciality;
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development to maintain up to date subject matter expertise;
  • Extensive experience at senior management level, in the management of Occupational Health and Wellbeing Departments, with multiple line reports.
