The Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes Integrated Care System (BLMK ICS), is a partnership of health and care organisations that have come together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. Following the recent appointment of Felicity Cox as Chief Executive Officer Designate of the Integrated Care Board (ICB), they are now seeking to appoint the Chief of System Assurance and Corporate Services.

The role will form part of the Integrated Care Board (ICB) Executive Leadership Team (ELT).  All members of the ELT will take collective responsibility for working together to ensure the ICB and system partners are well led, successful and managerially supported, enabling integration and delivery through the ICB.

All members of the ELT will be required to lead and influence complex transformation and improvement, through collaboration and mature partnership working.  ICB Executives will also be expected to have excellent influencing skills and to create an environment of trust, inclusion, mutual respect, and shared aspiration.

As Chief of System Assurance & Corporate Services you will be responsible for ensuring that the ICB functions are effectively, efficiently and economically discharged with the aim of improving the safety and quality of services provided for patients, the health of the local population and the delivery of value for money.

As a member of the unitary board, you will be jointly responsible for planning and allocating resources to meet the four core purposes of integrated care systems; to improve outcomes in population health and healthcare; tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience, and access; enhance productivity and value for money and help the NHS support broader social and economic development.

You will ensure this reflects and integrates the strategies of all relevant partner organisations of the ICB, with a particular focus on developing a shared clinical strategy. They are each responsible for their part in the management of the budget of the ICB.

As part of the ELT you will promote the success of the ICB to maximise the benefits for the population and public it serves and its staff. In doing so you will be expected to drive forward research and development across the system to support innovation and improved outcomes for the population. The Chief of System Assurance & Corporate Services will also ensure that system change is built from co-production.

If you feel you have the skills and behaviours to succeed in this post, then BLMK would look forward to receiving your application and meeting with you in due course. The ICB would particularly encourage applications from candidates with protected characteristics, as the ICS are committed to improving diversity within their system.
