We’re Humbelievable

This represents a Humbelievable opportunity to join one of the most exciting and inspirational award-winning NHS Foundation Trusts in the country.

Rated ‘Good’ by the CQC we provide services across Hull, East Yorkshire, Whitby, Scarborough and Ryedale. We provide a diverse range of community services (including therapies), community and inpatient mental health services, learning disability services, healthy lifestyle support and addictions services and a number of primary care services, employing over 2,800 staff across over 70 sites. As a Teaching Trust, we work closely with our major academic partners, nurturing a workforce of tomorrow’s health professionals.

We’re immensely proud of our recent service developments. Our Inspire Unit provides inpatient mental health services to young people in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North-East Lincolnshire. It’s a service that has been shaped with young people at its heart. Set to complete in Summer 2022 the £13.1m renovation of Whitby Community Hospital has continued to progress over the last 12 months and includes our new Urgent Treatment Centre, Podiatry Services, Physiotherapy, Audiology and much more. And we now hold a total of eight GP practice contracts registered to provide care with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We’ve gone through exciting growth and change and the pace continues.  We now want an innovative resourceful, influential Executive Medical Director to join our strong and cohesive Executive Team and Board and to help us to reach our goal of being the very best in the country.

Our people are some of the very best – we need to lead them effectively and help them achieve safe, high-quality care, despite testing times. This is a significant opportunity to play a key leadership role in a large, complex, vibrant and exciting Foundation Trust.

You’ll be instrumental not only in continuing to drive forward the agendas on patient safety, quality and research and development across the Trust, but will also make a major contribution across the health system in shaping the configuration of services, working collaboratively with partners within the Humber and North Yorkshire ICS. We want you to help lead us on our journey to beyond ‘outstanding’.

We are a forward thinking and dynamic Trust with a real commitment to staff development. We value our staff and invest in them to ensure they have the right skills to deliver outstanding care.

We recognise the positive value of diversity and promotes equality whilst challenging discrimination. We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds.

Join our Humbelievable team and you’ll find a Trust committed to supporting you personally and professionally, and that rewards and celebrates your achievements.
