With sustained pressure on NHS service delivery, there is a need to look to innovative and collaborative ways to increase the Mental Health and Learning Disibilities Nursing workforce of the future.
I'm working with an NHS organisation in the West Midlands which is looking to engage an interim Change Manager to help them and their University partner by expanding work placement capacity for students and therefore ensure future supply of nursing staff with the right skills to meet the growing need of the population.
This 6 month interim role will involve you instigating collaboration by building on existing close partnership work with the University, the Voluntary Sector, Social Enterprises and GP Practices across the ICS; with the aim of establishing a strategy and implementation plan which will allow them to grow student numbers by expanding practice- placements in the future. The role will involve establishing and facilitating a multi-agency forum, to lead discussions to identify and explore solutions to overcome risks and challenges to closer working with the anticipated end result being a comprehensive implementation plan.

Essential skills and experience includes:
- Knowledge and experience of projects or change impacting on NHS workforce, medical education and student placement would be highly advantageous as would knowledge of Nursing - within Mental Health in particular.
-The ability to demonstrate facilitation skills within multi-agency forums and evidence of writing robust NHS strategetic implmentation plans is essential.
- Curiosity and a willingness to innovate.
This remote working role may involve the occaisional face to face meeting in the West Midlands and could offer flexibility over 4 or 5 days per week.
