Working in partnership to develop a stronger Thurrock.

At the Mid and South Essex (MSE) Health and Care Partnership, we believe in providing the very best health and care for our communities. As a collective of NHS partners, MSE has defined a bold vision for the next 10 years to transform its services, making the most of medical advances and finding new ways to improve health. But this will only be possible if we all work as one across mid and south Essex.

In support of these ambitions, we have formed the new Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB), which will exist from 1st July 2022. The focus of the new ICB will be to support the health and wellbeing of local people by working in stronger partnership with other health and care organisations. We have devised a new strategy to transform primary care across mid and south Essex and to better manage the health of our population, whilst providing bespoke care solutions and better integrated support for everyone we work with, whatever their needs may be.

At this point in our journey, we seek an Alliance Director for Thurrock to lead the delivery of our new transformation strategy. In the role, you’ll lead on the delivery of improved services that are tailored to the needs of each individual resident in Thurrock, whilst ensuring our local Primary Care Networks are supported and as successful as possible. As the most senior NHS commissioning officer in Thurrock, you will take the lead in reimagining how we deliver the highest quality of care across the borough, driving rapid change and innovation across the local health and care landscape.

We seek a passionate and experienced senior health professional to lead us to even greater success. Ideally with experience gained within the health system and/or a local authority context, you will be tenacious in your approach to driving transformation and have the softer skills required to support and guide your teams through this exciting period of development.

We truly believe that getting the health and care offer right at a local level will ensure much better outcomes for our people. If you think you have what it takes, join us and help to place Thurrock at the heart of leading cutting-edge change within the health and care system.
