Working closely with the CEO of an NHS Trust and other members of the Board, the Director of Strategy and Transformation will lead the development and implementation of the Trust’s transformation, strategic projects and programme management functions.

This is a 6 month opportunity for a Trust in the South East to work at a senior level to drive transformation. The role can be worked remotely with only 1 day a week required on site.

Candidate must have experience working in the NHS in a similar role at the required level and be available to start a new role from mid June 2022.

The role:

  • Design, develop and lead the processes necessary to determine the Trust’s overall strategic direction and associated transformation activity. This will included the review and evaluation and where necessary change of the Trust’s values, mission, vision and strategic objectives with the goal of making the Trust an outstanding service provider
  • Work with the Executive Management Team to support the development of medium and long term sustainable transformation plans that form part of the Trust’s overall strategy. This include the presentation and communication of complex analysis in support of options that have been appraised, evaluated and
    scored accordingly
  • Work with the Executive Management Team and, in particular, the Chief Finance Officer and Chief People Officer to lead the production of the Trust’s annual Business Plan and provide the Board with assurance about its delivery.
  • Lead, design and manage the annual planning cycle for the Trust ensure that all key planning milestones are achieved as well as them being aligned to the strategic objectives and direction of the organisation.
  • Work closely with the Chief Nursing Officer to support the delivery of systems for performance management and assurance across the Trust.
  • Develop collaborative, functional and close working relationships with external stakeholders ensuing there is a clear framework for partnership working.
  • Develop and maintain effective and complex business intelligence (BI) systems and processes that will be communicated accurately to the Executive Management Team inform decision making on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that the annual plan is comprehensively communicated and disseminated to the wider organisation. This includes the ability to convey complex matters of detail in a way that is understood and acknowledged
