We are working with an NHS Trust in the South East of England who are seeking to appoint an Interim Director of Strategy and Transformation. This role will be for 6 months and is remote with the exception of one day a week which must be onsite.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated between c£475 and c£565 per day, dependant on experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

Lead on the development and implementation of the Trust’s transformation, strategic projects and programme management functions;
Work with the Executive Management Team and lead the production of the Trust’s annual Business Plan;
Drive the strategic direction of the Trust keeping all Executive stakeholders appraised of current and future opportunities and threats;
Co-ordinate strategic and tactical discussions around collaboration and partnership;
Responsibility for co-ordinating programme support and governance for complex change and transformation programmes;
The delivery of projects and work streams together with full line management authority and responsibility for the staff directly supporting these initiatives;
Design, develop and lead the processes necessary to determine the Trust’s overall strategic direction and associated transformation activity.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Educated to degree standard in a management discipline (e.g. MBA) or equivalent experience;
Recent and relevant Board-level Director experience, of leading a transformation function of relevant scale and complexity within a healthcare environment;
Experience of formulating, communicating and delivering business, operational and organisation-wide development strategies;
Financially literate with the ability to critically review, challenge and communicate a range of views on a wide range of complex issues using detailed analysis and detailed financial information and key performance indicators for to influence decision making.
