Job Details
The post will be working mainly remotely with some ad-hoc travel to site based in the Northwest/Northeast with an hourly rate between £49.54 - £59.11, working inside IR35 (through an umbrella solution company).
The post holder will work closely with the Deputy Director of Governance and be a source of expertise, advice and direction for clinical quality and clinical governance related matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for professional leadership and development of improvement strategies in the areas of Quality Assurance, Patient Safety, Clinical Effectiveness and Complaints;
- Effectively hold corporate responsibility for developing and overseeing the implementation of the Clinical Governance framework;
- Deal with highly sensitive and contentious situations in complex and challenged environments when addressing change and development, some of which could be highly emotive;
- Provide clear, objective, and balanced information and insight to the CEO & Board;
- Lead the development of an electronic system for an evidence repository for compliance against CQC Standards;
- Enhance the communication processes and engagement with the Serious Incident process, ensuring that there is local ownership, developing a culture of continuous learning for improvement which is shared across services;
- Able to evaluate information quickly and effectively, and the likely impact on the organisation from changes and shifts of national and local policy development;
- Develop team morale and motivation through effective personal leadership, ensuring views and decisions are communicated up and down the management structure;
- Assure effective communication channels within the Clinical Governance team and support and foster clear and effective communication with colleagues throughout the organisation.
- Must have experience working within the NHS, a healthcare setting/Healthcare service provider;
- Desirable Clinical Qualification recognised by the three main regulatory bodies NMC, GMC and HPCP;
- Demonstrable track record in leading Clinical and Quality Governance in a healthcare organisation;
- Expertise within Quality Governance;
- Significant experience of delivery at Deputy Director/Director level;
- Improvement and change management expertise.
