Job Details

Our client is looking to recruit a Outpatient/Nursing Service Manager on a permanent basis that will be in support of the Matron and Clinical Service Manager to provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing more than one clinical team. You will be required to ensure that the teams deliver effective patient care by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership.

The primary focus will be developing practice in the assessment of health and wellbeing needs, developing a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security, determining the effective use of efficient use of physical and financial resources and effective use of efficient use of physical and financial resources, and developing strategies and policies for service improvement.

You will be involved in reviewing and comparing current practices, trends, and developments against appropriate benchmarks. You will also identify people’s health needs through observation discussion and the use of technical assessment methods. Additionally, you will be required to identify and discuss with colleagues the implication of assessment against the program of care, enabling them to think through the risks and their effective management and the need for referral to others.

As part of your role, you will also need to discuss and debate with relevant people the effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness of services that are being provided with particular attention to risks and priorities, service issues, impact of strategies on service development and delivery. You will also negotiate resource availability and use in a manner which maintains good working relationships and is completed within an agreed time scale.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are looking to gain more experience in clinical wards in order to progress towards a Matron level in healthcare. Please note that the ideal candidate would be a registered Nurse.

Company

Allen Lane is a specialist consultancy focusing on the NHS and supporting the sector on interim and permanent recruitment across Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, Commissioning and Project Management.

Allen Lane was established in 2004, after the founders having experienced successful careers in a large multinational consultancy. Their approach in setting up a smaller, more specialised business was to establish honest relationships through sound judgement and exceptional customer service, which still continues to this day.  Today every member of the Allen Lane team shares this approach, founded on transparency, flexibility and long term objectives, and we all view recruitment as a career and not as a job.

We are an approved supplier on the CCS non medical non clinical framework and work closely with our clients in the healthcare sector to understand their business, the challenges they face and to introduce them to the right people to help them overcome those challenges.  Over the past 17 years our influence and networks within the sector have developed considerably, but despite our growth in reputation and turnover, we continue to pride ourselves in offering the special kind of service you would expect from a niche “owner run” business.
