Job Details

Finegreen are working with a High-Profile NHS organisation in the East Midlands to appoint a Deputy Chief Nurse. The role will be for an interim period of 6 months initially with an hourly rate of £71.70, working inside IR35 and will require on site working.

The post holder will work alongside the Chief Nurse, contributing to the strategic development of the nursing and midwifery workforce, establishing, and implementing effective ways of working and improving of Quality.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the monitoring, evaluation and improvement of quality of nursing care through the development of clinical practice utilising evidence-based practice;
  • Improve patient experience, ensuring effective system wide patient flow working with operational leads;
  • Ensure visibility as a leader, acting at all times as a professional role model, representing the organisation internally and externally;
  • Provide expert professional nursing advice;
  • Ensure implementation of national, regional and local practice guidelines and policy as appropriate;
  • Support the development and implementation of a Patient Experience Strategy to promote, monitor and improve patient experience;
  • Lead, facilitate and support the continued development and implementation of continuous improvements in patient care with national standards and benchmarks;
  • Work collaboratively and lead on projects with other professionals and agencies to improve and ensure services meet changing healthcare needs;
  • Ensure effective multi-disciplinary communication within areas of responsibility to deliver excellent care/services.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Registered with the NMC;
  • Extensive experience working at senior level within an Acute setting;
  • Up to knowledge and understanding of NHS polices, procedures and standards, able to lead and implement changes to for improvements;
  • Excellent communication and leaderships skills.
