Job Details
This is an interim role that should be expected to be remunerated at VSM level, the organisation is looking for someone who can start ASAP.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overall accountability for the delivery of the Hospitals Transformation Programme;
- Collaboratively working with system partners and other organisations to ensure the successful delivery of the programme, including the CCG, local authorities and other stakeholders;
- Leading the implementation of patient and public stakeholder engagement plans, that will build confidence in the key groups and audiences about the need for and benefits of the programme;
- Leading the development and delivery of the agreed reconfiguration of clinical services and associated new models of care, ensuring compliance with national standards;
- Identifying and mitigating strategic and operational risks to the delivery of the programme;
- Ensuring that the programme delivers the planned changes to the required quality standards and that appropriate mechanisms are in place to fully realise the targeted benefits;
- Ensuring that designs and implementation plans are in-line with financial and operational deliverables, and meet the needs of the clinical and strategic brief;
- Developing implementation plans that will maintain high quality, safe services at all times during the delivery of the programme;
- Managing key interdependencies, particularly in relation to the development of non-acute models of care and the ICS Long Term Plan.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Education to Degree and/or Masters level or the equivalent senior management experience;
- Demonstrable experience at VSM level within an Acute NHS provider setting;
- Significant experience of delivering major, complex, multi-year infrastructure projects and of deploying recognised programme/project management methodologies;
- A recognised Project Management qualification;
- Must be a highly credible leader with experience of building relationships with a wide variety of different stakeholders and successfully maintaining their support and buy-in.
