Job Details
This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at a c£540 day rate dependant on experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Directly oversee and manage the daily operational management and clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care;
- Lead on Elective Care services including recovery and restoration across the Trust;
- Take a lead on addressing day to day patient flow issues across the directorate;
- Lead on all aspects of safe, effective and responsive operations, with a priority focus on achievement of key access and performance standards at all times;
- Ensure that policies and procedures are developed and implemented for the successful delivery of operational services;
- Establish, lead, maintain and develop effective working relationships with all professional groups working in the group management teams and across the wider Trust;
- Deputise for the Chief Operating Officer, assuming overall responsibility for senior operational management of the organisation, during absence of the COO.
- Establish and grow effective working relationships with other providers and commissioners to ensure that patients are provided with care in the most appropriate settings.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Masters level qualification in relevant subject area, or equivalent professional qualification/ experience;
- Credible and proven track record of leading across Elective and Planned Care within an NHS Provider;
- Extensive experience of Acute NHS leadership and delivery at a senior operational level commensurate with the role;
- Extensive experience, expertise and understanding of performance and change management, business planning, budget setting and contracting processes;
- Experience of implementing complex strategies and realistic plans.
