Executive Director of Finance

West Yorkshire; Attractive package

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is an award-winning hospital and community services trust with a workforce of over 3,500 and 350 committed volunteers serving a population of over 200,000 people across West and North Yorkshire and East Lancashire.  We are committed to working with our partners and our community to put patient and population needs first, and provide excellent, innovative, efficient, and diverse services which deliver safe, high quality care.

At a time of transformational change in the delivery of health and care services, we continue to respond and adapt to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and focus on the recovery of services for our local population. We have an unwavering focus on securing the future for our Trust for the benefit of the diverse population that we serve. We are proud to be an anchor institution in our local area and we continue to develop our approach to the sustainability agenda with an ambition to become a carbon neutral hospital.

Our new Executive Director of Finance will play a key role in driving the overall vision of the Trust, building on strong foundations in quality and financial performance and a track record of effective engagement with our colleagues and our partners across the health and care economy.   We are committed to the continued integration of health and care services locally and to working regionally through the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts and Act as One programme across Bradford District and Craven to ensure the sustainable delivery of high-quality services across our wider population.

As the Executive Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the strategic financial leadership of the Trust; working closely with partners to ensure the Trust remains a vibrant healthcare provider, with a sustainable financial framework and robust processes and systems to support our strong financial performance. An experienced Director of Deputy Director of Finance you will bring extensive knowledge of the NHS and a strong aptitude for partnership working. Most of all you will share our values and those of our health and care system and ensure that we continue to put people first and deliver the right care, every time; keeping people ‘happy, healthy and at home’.

The Trust aspires to be truly representative of the population we serve and we welcome applications from people of diverse backgrounds and who can evidence understanding of the needs of the communities served by the Trust.
