Director of Operations

 

Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) is a CQC Good rated organisation, with high levels of staff engagement, and excellent clinical outcomes. As one of two Director of Operations you will work within the Chief Operating Officers (COO) Team, deputising as needed for the COO and as such these posts will suit aspiring Executive leaders. LTHT is one of the largest acute Trusts in the country and offers an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance your leadership skills. This role requires an individual who is driven, inclusive, ambitious and passionate about patient care, and who have a desire to influence at the highest levels working in close partnership with senior clinical and managerial staff.

 

Responding to the challenges that COVID-19 has given the NHS and the scale of service pressures, we are seeking a visible leader with a recent track record of strong operational service delivery in a complex healthcare environment to join the team. You will have an open, inclusive and transparent leadership style with extensive experience of effecting transformation and service change.

 

This postholder will take a lead on Service Delivery and integrated accountability across the Trust. This post holder will work with the COO team and CSUs to ensure that stabilisation and reset plans are robust and quality assured, benchmarking and learning from good practice in order to improve the timeliness of access for patients and become the best for specialist and integrated care.

 

The successful candidate will be able to inspire and motivate teams to deliver sustainable improvements. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a real understanding of using data for improvement, and the ability to translate complex systems and processes into easily understandable messages for patients and staff. You will be resilient and collaborative and able to work with partners to ensure person centered service provision across the health and care system.
