A Senior Manager with Senior Operations experience within outpatients is required for a organisation working with the NHS. This is a great opportunity to work with multiple NHS organisations and be one of the lead Managers on all matters relating to outpatients. The role does require you to have the flexibility to work across the South East of England and often on site 3-4 day a week, this is non negotiable as it is a client facing role. This is a permanent role that pays up to £75k for candidates with the senior level operational management and improvement experience required but will also consider candidates who are developing their career at an 8a/8b level and can demonstrate experience in managing outpatients.


You will be responsible for areas such as outpatient transformation, outpatient quality improvement, providing leadership to teams, demand and capacity management, outpatient utilisation, outpatient digital transformation and other relevant areas of work related to outpatients.

Key duties includes:

  • Responsible for effective end to end delivery of a programme and its workstreams, from diagnostic and analysis through to successful implementation of a sustainable operational improvement, ensuring:
  • Effective identification of the opportunities and the key areas to address, bringing to bear the relevant analytics, methodology and tools
  • Effective organisation and leveraging of internal resources to ensure successful delivery, particularly in ensuring effective management and clinical engagement
  • The setting of a clear project plan and the meeting of relevant milestones
  • Adherence to the outlined project budget
  • Oversight of the tracking and delivery of agreed KPIs
  • The team works effectively as an integrated programme, across workstreams
  • The ultimate quality of programme outputs and the delivery of a tangible, sustainable benefit to the client
  • Day to day responsibility for project budget and commercials, including ensuring the project information is accurate and up to date
  • Overall responsibility for programme reporting and communications, personally delivering key presentations and reports to the main client with senior support
  • Ensure any issues and risks are escalated to the senior team as required in a timely manner
