Our current CDIO is taking on a systems role, and we are therefore recruiting to this senior and critical position. We are looking for a forward-thinking individual with the passion and capacity to take the Trust forward across the range of digital and information services, who will also work across the system and nationally to identify and exploit opportunities for collaborative working.

Our vision at Nottinghamshire Healthcare is to ‘Make a difference to the communities we serve by delivering the highest quality physical and mental health care to our patients, and by tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access’.  We know that maximising the potential of digital health systems and data is critical to the achievement of that vision.  In doing so, we believe we can ensure our patients and service users consistently experience great care, and our staff are enabled to deliver that care and have recently adopted our Digital Health Strategy that describes our ambition and approach. The portfolio includes Digital Services, Knowledge Services, Information Governance, Information Management and Digital Transformation.

We are a dedicated and expert team who strive to do the very best for our patients and our staff.  We work hard, but we also understand the need to maintain our own wellbeing.  In return for your hard work, enthusiasm and commitment; you will be afforded the flexibility to manage your own time and have a healthy work-life balance. So, if you are an experienced, inspirational and values-based leader wishing to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead our Health Informatics Service to deliver our ambitious digital health strategy, please get in touch.

The Chief Digital and Information Officer is the senior leader within the organisation responsible for the overall delivery of digital and information services and will lead the development and implementation of policy and strategy for health informatics within the Trust and as part of the wider Integrated Care System (ICS) in support of their strategies and plans.

The role will ensure fit for purpose and fit for use systems, information and processes exist that enable staff and patients to use data and technology for greatest benefit to them. This will involve facilitating improvements and positive outcomes for patients, population and staff enabled by technology and information solutions and a business partnering approach. This will include the development, implementation and maintenance of the Trust’s operational IT provision, cyber security, procurement of digital solutions, knowledge services, information governance and information management, and a portfolio of digital transformation work that will ensure that the organisation’s business needs are met. It will require the effective management and monitoring of third party suppliers ensuring delivery of cost effective and efficient services.
