Job Details
This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated between c£500 – c£595 day rate dependant on experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible and accountable for the delivery of all clinical and technical services within the Division;
- Provide strategic leadership for clinical managers within the Division;
- Holds responsibility for the strategy and policy;
- Takes a lead role in service improvement and development, implementing change to ensure key corporate, national and local targets are achieved within agreed timescales;
- Contributes to the service strategy and leads the local Women and Children’s Health strategies and service transformation within the Division;
- Develops and implements long term service strategy and policies for the Division that fully reflect the direction and service needs;
- Leads and coordinates achievement of all Divisional objectives ensuring relevance to local and national priorities;
- Coordinates the operational management of the Division working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Directors and other key stakeholders;
- Ensures the implementation of effective and appropriate performance management systems and processes to ensure delivery of performance targets;
- Leads substantial programs of work, to improve services across pathways of care or for specific care groups as designated;
- Takes responsibility for, and manages the budgets within the Division in liaison with the Chief Operating Officer, Divisional Management Team and Divisional Accountant;
- Ensures organisational procedures are deployed across Division for control of activities against budget.
- First Degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience working in a similar position within an Acute NHS provider setting at Band 8d or over;
- Proven track record of leadership, managing redesign, organisational change, service activity and service reconfiguration within a large and complex organisation.
