Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) are seeking to appoint an Executive Director of Business and Value. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Trust Board, with Executive responsibility for both Finance and Information.

CWP provide health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care. We have services across Wirral and Cheshire, as well as Trafford, Warrington, Bolton, Halton and Liverpool – and provide specialist services for the North West. Our services are provided in partnership with NHS colleagues, local authorities, voluntary and independent organisations, people who access our services, their carers and families.

We are a high performing Trust. Our services are rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, and as ‘Outstanding’ for Care. We follow an ethos of continuous quality improvement, striving to meet the needs of the communities we serve through engagement and co-production. We think beyond simple cost improvement to adding value in all we do. As our Director of Business and Value you will be expected to support this ethos and provide professional leadership to our Finance and Information functions, ensuring they are equipped to provide clear and insightful information and an excellent customer experience.

You will provide guidance and advice to the Board and wider Senior Leadership Team on all financial matters at both Trust, Place and System level, working with colleagues both internally and externally to deliver high quality, best value services. As part of the Trust Board, you will also play a key role in supporting the wider development of our strategic plan ‘Imagining the Future’, which sets out our ambitions to work with partners to help further improve the lives of everyone in our communities.

We are seeking a strategic thinking, senior CCAB qualified accountant, with experience operating at Board or sub-Board level. You will have excellent negotiating and influencing skills and will be able to build effective relationships both internally and across our partner organisations. You will develop and maintain motivated teams who are committed to providing excellent customer service. Most importantly, you will be a compassionate and inclusive leader, who will promote and role model our Trust’s 6 C’s Values – Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage; Commitment.

We actively encourage applications from individuals who will bring a diverse perspective to our senior leadership team.
