Job Details

The Deputy COO for Elective Care is responsible, through the divisions and corporate teams for the delivery of the Trust Elective Recovery Programme/H2 alongside the national standards - RTT, Cancer and Diagnostic standards.

The post will be responsible for the transformation of patient pathways, recovery and sustainable delivery of the national access standards, quality of care and liaison with various alliances.

The post holder on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer takes the lead for specific programmes of work to build sustainability in operational delivery, this will include leadership of the elective pathways, supporting the clinical divisions to deliver transformation and efficiency across elective services.

As the DCOO, there will be a requirement at times to lead on key areas of improvement or development across the full remit of the Chief Operating Officer.

Provide support to the acute sites and support patient flow at peak periods or in the absence of the DCOO Capacity and Flow.

The post holder will have a key role as a system leader across the elective pathway and will work with colleagues across commissioning and PCNs to deliver clinically effective care and sustainable services.

The emphasis on clinically led, managerially enabled will be at the forefront of senior leadership within the operational culture.
