Job Details

We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Divisional Director of Operations for the Medicine, Urgent Care and ED division. This role will be for 3 months in the first instance and is expected to extend.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at c£560 per day and has been deemed inside IR35.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Operational and strategic delivery on both transformation and delivery of services that support
  • Medicine, Urgent Care and ED;
  • Take Operational Management responsibility for the Medicine, Urgent Care and ED division;
  • To take a lead in achieving key performance targets in line with local and national agreements;
  • Responsible for effective communication and engagement within the Division;
  • Translate Clinical strategy into operational delivery across a range of services within the Division;
  • Be accountable for design and delivery of the Division’s Strategy and input into business planning in line with corporate timescales Performance;
  • Accountable for Divisional Performance across all measures and objectives;
  • Attend performance reviews to account for delivery to a variety of stakeholders;
  • Be accountable for Divisional systems of performance management.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Master’s degree level qualification in Management or have demonstratable experience working in a similar position, gained over a number of years;
  • Extensive experience at Divisional Director level overseeing Medicine and ED in an Acute Trust environment;
  • Significant experience of financial management;
  • Experience of establishing and applying performance management systems.
