Interim Deputy Divisional General Manager - Surgery

My client is an acute NHS trust in the East of England where they are going through an exciting time of change and re-development.

The need is for an established and competent deputy operational manager who has worked to a band 8b/c level, as they need to have a senior qualified person with experience in place to ensure that the service remains well managed and delivers improvements to the theatre utilisation programme. As well as theatres, there will be responsibilities in ITU/Pre-assessment and endoscopy.

The current post holder has moved to another role in the trust so there is urgency around finding the right person to fill the gap on an interim basis for at least 3 months.. A background in acute hospital care is important, and particularly surgery. You also will be used to managing teams. My client would be keen to see someone who has recent experience in managing busy surgical departments.
