Overseeing the following service areas; Workforce Development and Transformation, Organisational Development and Leadership, and Wellbeing Equality and Inclusion you’ll provide leadership and strategic direction to drive a collaborative approach across the Trust whilst ensuring that patient voice, user experience and staff experience inform any transformational programs.

You’ll bring a strong track record of success, collaboration and innovation and be adept at working with diverse teams and harnessing the talent around you. You will have the operational knowledge and experience together with the strategic thinking to lead, shape and drive culture change across the organisation, alongside the ability to ensure a robust workforce planning and development framework is in place, all of which is underpinned by a total commitment to inclusion and wellbeing so that we can make progressive and positive difference to our people, patients, and service users alike.

Main duties of the job

Lead and support the strategic workforce planning and people development delivery for the Trust, integrating the different key elements

Ensure that the service areas are aligned and work collaboratively, removing duplication and increasing efficiencies, whilst also considering the Trust values and vision and ensuring this is reflected in everything that is done.

To act as a strategic change agent, taking responsibility for identified projects and supporting leads within the team as required to ensure the organisation is continually striving to improve and develop.

Monitor workforce utilisation and development across the Trust and provide expert advice on improving efficiency and effectiveness and work collaboratively with senior leaders in the development and implementation of a transformational approach to service design.

To ensure the People Development and Inclusion teams support operational services in developing and improving patient care through ensuring that workforce implications of business and service plans are anticipated and managed.

Lead Trust-wide long-term improvement and cultural development programmes.

Support and drive the workforce transformation agenda.
