An exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated person to be a part of both CNTW Children & Young Peoples (CYPS) Sunderland team as well as working in Sunderland's Autism Outreach Team (AOT), which is now part of Together for Children's SEND Specialist Support Service .
This 12 month fixed term post has been created to bring health and education together in order to support the emotional and mental health needs of children and young people with Autism across the city.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be based predominantly with the Autism Outreach Team and will complete direct work with children and young people in education settings as well as delivering relevant training to key stakeholders. In addition, they will play an integral role in the neurodevelopmental pathway formulation meetings as a specialist nurse and receive regular clinical supervision and CPD opportunities from CYPS.
