We are currently supporting an East Midlands-based NHS organisation with their recruitment for an interim Deputy Director of HR and OD. Hybrid working will be supported.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing strategic and operational leadership across all People & OD functions;
  • Assuming responsibility for the provision of a high quality, professional People & OD service;
  • Monitoring performance against agreed objectives, taking corrective action when performance is not in accordance with plans;
  • Assuming leadership and responsibility for the development and delivery of the People objectives and Workforce Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy;
  • Providing internal consultancy and professional HR advice to Executive Directors and senior managers on their own areas of responsibilities, across a range of highly complex and far reaching issues;
  • Providing strategic direction on workforce planning and commissioning of the future workforce;
  • Leading on workforce diversity and inclusion.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • CIPD qualification;
  • Proven experience of HR leadership at this level within an NHS organisation;
  • Exceptional management and leadership skills with a proven record of introducing organisation or system wide change;
  • Advanced engagement skills, able to influence and negotiate with colleagues on all levels;
  • Ability to manage complex clinical and operational situations that involve staff from all levels within an organisation;
  • Current professional Employment Law Legislation knowledge;
  • High level of understanding of current national policy and issues in, compliance and standards and the wider NHS.
