The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (ROH) is one of the largest specialist orthopaedic units in Europe. Our Trust is a very special hospital; big enough to deliver world class services and small enough to offer exceptional patient and staff experience.  The Trust has an ambitious strategy and vision to be recognised as the leading provider of Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal treatment, both regionally and at a national level.

As we recover from the impact of the pandemic, face a significant period of elective recovery, and accelerate towards a much more integrated way of working through our partnership in the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care (ICS) System – this is a hugely important and exciting moment to join the Trust.

We are now looking for an Executive Chief Nurse to provide leadership to the Trust’s nurses, therapists, and allied health professionals, and to shape the strategic direction of the Trust as a member of our Board. Accountable to the Chief Executive, the Executive Chief Nurse will promote the highest standards of care to ensure excellence for our local, regional and national patients.

With extensive experience in a senior nursing role in a Trust environment, you will bring highly developed leadership skills, with the ability to build effective teams and deliver through them. Working collaboratively with colleagues and at system-level, you will bring a high level of emotional intelligence and experience of leading change programmes in a comparable complex environment. As a values-driven leader, you will work with respect, compassion, excellence, pride, openness and innovation.

The ROH is an equal opportunities employer. We employ people of difference and are committed to growing an inclusive culture, where difference is celebrated, and people feel able to bring their whole and authentic self to work.
