General Manager - Surgery

General Manager (Surgery Division)  

6 month contract. Hybrid Role. Band 8C/8D Inside IR35 

Woodrow Mercer are currently on the search for an experienced General Manager with an excellent operational background with experience within a surgery division. 

We are looking for an individual who has extensive experience in a leadership role within an Acute Hospital setting including experience of surgery with a proven track record of performance management and improvement.

You will be required to demonstrate experience of successful management of change and have experience of developing teams, using appraisal and accountability frameworks to support this.

You will be a natural leader, with a commitment to establishing trusted relationships, strong business understanding and a curiosity when it comes to complex issues. You will be passionate about improvement and influencing change.

The post holder will be an excellent communicator, who will be responsible for all aspects of business support, including the provision and analysis of performance management information, information to support service development and the development of business cases and plans.

You must have:

• Knowledge of health service management, including change management.
• Advanced knowledge of principles of service development/improvement and performance management.
• In-depth knowledge of operational business support to clinical teams
• Evidence of team working
• Experience of capacity & demand planning
• Experience working withing General Surgery or Trauma and Orthopaedic
