London Medical Associates West London GP Federation works with general practice and other healthcare providers in West London to deliver high-quality clinical services to patients. We aim to improve care for patients by working collaboratively across primary care and our partners as part of the Place-Based Partnership. The West London GP Fed team also works to develop and support individual GP practices, PCNs and Neighbourhoods and their changing needs. We are ‘of the NHS’ but independent, innovative and transformational.

JOB SUMMARY
As a vital member of the Federations’ Senior Management Team, the post holder will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the Federations’ Operational services. The Head of Operations sets the standard and is accountable for ensuring the successful daily delivery of the Operational Services within The Federation. Using a continuous improvement approach, they will provide practical, high-quality, safe patient care that meets the needs of patients and can be met within the allocated budget.
The post holder is responsible for the operational management, performance and planning of Federation services, ensuring that crucial quality, service deliverables and financial objectives are met. They will provide support and guidance to Service Operations and Associate Service Managers, being a point of contact for service issues and escalating appropriately.
The Head of Operations is responsible for the safe delivery of services with maximum efficiency, promoting service improvement and best clinical pathways and ensuring that regulatory targets and compliance against quality, risk and governance standards are met.
The Head of Operations is key in supporting the Federation as a key player in providing high-quality health services in West London and helping strengthen its collaborative partnership working. They will represent the Federation in all settings as a professional and patient-focused organisation building positive relationships at all levels.

The London Medical Associates West London GP Federation (LMA) supports primary care in West London, delivering a range of services on behalf of the practices, covering the Royal Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea and the Paddington and Queens Park areas of Westminster.
Our teams work with our Board, the Clinical Directors of our 5 PCNs, and local partners and patients to support and develop local, place-based initiatives to transform and integrate local services to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population.

The London Medical Associates (LMA) supports local practices by providing primary care services at scale across West London. Our teams’ partner with local GPs, practice staff and other NHS and social care staff to ensure our appointments are accessible, expertly delivered and sensitively delivered for our residents.
In late 2020 the London Medical Associates (LMA) opened our first COVID Vaccination service for the residents of West London and beyond on behalf of our local practices. The aim is to make vaccination a locally accessible, quick and safe process for our residents. In addition, we also provide face to face primary care services for possible COVID patients.
We are also providing Additional Roles (ARRS), such as Clinical Pharmacists, to our member practices and empowering research collaboration through our work with the National Institute for Health Research.
