Job Details

PMO Support Officers are required for 10-12 months as part of large health change programme of work. The client would ideally be looking to pay a Fixed term contract at Band 7, although Interim may be considered. As this is a large NHS change programme, NHS experience is required alongside PMO experience at the appropriate level. Full remote working is offered as well.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collate and review programme data and documentation including plans, status reports, risk logs and programme artefacts.
  • Track the critical path through major milestones across the portfolio.
  • Collate status reports created by the programmes to generate portfolio level status reporting.
  • Support compilation of reports following deep dive reviews for senior leadership.
  • Manage the escalation process for critical risks and issues.
  • Provide central support to programmes to identify and track key dependencies across the portfolio. Ensure timely and accurate information analysis and reporting to management on agreed areas of work including monthly highlight reports.
  • Support the development of key performance indicators for the successful assessment of individual and work stream success
  • Support gathering of qualitative information e.g. facilitating stakeholder focus groups where appropriate Key support to programme leads
  • Support and guide set up of programmes from a governance and planning perspective
  • Support and advise programmes to ensure effective project lifecycle management adopted
  • The post holder is expected to participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide, information and analytical advice and expertise as required.
  • The post holder is expected to develop and implement data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data in the execution of their role.
  • The post holder is expected to present information in an articulate and clear way, explaining complex issues, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with members of the Team to investigate the causes of any variance from target/plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions.
