NHS Head of CHC - Remote / Hybrid

Practicus are partnering with a London based NHS organisation who are urgently seeking a Head of CHC from a clinical background to provide operational leadership to their clinical teams.

PURPOSE - You will use your expertise within Continuing Healthcare to lead, upskill, and better the quality of their CHC services being delivered this winter. You will also be instrumental in making recommendations to improve the service, working at a system level improving discharge to assess and patient pathways, communicate with the local authority and build relationships at all levels. Some of your work will result in bed days being saved across several hospitals in the southeast, freeing up services to the local community.

THE ROLE IS BOTH INTERESTING AND CHALLENGING because you will work across a wide portfolio of activities which including CHC, Safeguarding, DOLs, and LPS. The role with cover both operational leadership and project delivery. There will be an opportunity to make a significant impact to the safety of both adult and children's services.

TO DELIVER THIS we will require someone from a General or Mental Health Nursing Background, who as excellent leadership skills, an expert in CHC and has knowledge around the implementation of Liberty Protection Safeguarding. We are looking for someone with a robust but collaborative style of management, who can bring the team together. You will have a passion for delivering change and the ability to influence and overcome resistance at all levels.

* Experience of providing leadership to CHC teams
* Registered RGN or RMN
* An expert in Continuing Healthcare
* Strong knowledge of Liberty Protection Safeguarding and DoLS
* Excellent stakeholder communication skills at all levels.

RATE: £400 - £500 per day working 4 - 5 days
LENGTH: 6 Months
START: November / Early December 2022
