A Learning Disabilities & Autism Strategic Programme Lead is required for a Integrated Care Board (ICB). You will need to be an experienced Commissioning and Programme Manager in Health and Social Care with specific Learning Disability and Autism experience. Candidates without Learning Disability and Autism (LDA) experience will not be considered. This is a 6-12 month role that requires 2-3 days a month on site and the rest working from home. You will also be managing a team, so good leadership and communication skills is also required.

 

This is a County wide role leading the delivery of the Learning Disability and Autism Programme. The programme supports delivery of the NHS Long-Term Plan Learning Disability and Autism Commitments across primary, community and secondary health services working in close partnership with local councils, people with lived experience, providers and the voluntary and community sector.

The role will lead the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality, professional and co-ordinated programme management function for the Learning Disability and Autism Programme, capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements.

The initial list of functional areas within scope are the programme leadership for:

Health Inequalities - Learning Disability and Autism

Community support for people with learning disabilities and autism

Reducing the number of people with learning disabilities and/or autism in mental health inpatient beds.

 

The list of areas within the scope of this role may change over time, either through the removal or additional of new functional areas, to reflect the emerging priorities of the ICB.
