Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is the lead provider of healthcare for people with serious mental illness, learning disabilities and autism. We serve a diverse population of around 1.8 million living within inner cities, historic towns and rural locations across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire, and Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. This is an exceptional opportunity to join us as our next Executive Director of Nursing and Quality and be central to delivering against our strategic aims. Leading and inspiring our Nursing and AHP workforce, you will ensure that they are supported and respected across the organisation and our partners.  You will strive to embed  safety, quality and clinical governance across our organisation from “Ward to Board” and will influence externally to ensure that Mental Health and Learning Disabilities are given parity across the two integrated care systems within which we operate.

With a passion for Mental Health and the Nursing profession we are seeking someone who shares our values and puts service users at the heart of all decision making. You will have a track record of continuous quality improvement and compassionate leadership, recognising the unprecedented challenge that our workforce has been through over the last few years. You will have experience drawn from the Mental Health sector and significant experience as a Deputy or Director of Nursing. You will understand how to build relationships at organisational level and influence partners so that as an organisation we are a visible ambassador for Mental Health across the South West.
