Practicus are partnering with an NHS organisation in the South East that are urgently seeking a Children's Designate Safeguarding Specialist.

PURPOSE - You will use your experience as a Children's Safeguarding Specialist to support with the overall children's safeguarding strategy for the region, deliver the contractual work around compliance, statutory training within the acute providers and learning reviews

THE DIFFERENCE is that you will build on the good work that has already been delivered and ensure they have safe, efficient, and effective delivery of care, compatible with professional and national standards.

THE ROLE IS BOTH INTERESTING AND CHALLENGING because you will have input into shaping and delivering the overall children's safeguarding strategy with the support of a great team. The work you do will greatly improve the safeguarding for children in the local community.

TO DELIVER THIS we require an individual with a children's safeguarding experience from a nursing or social work background, with knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

EXPERIENCE:
· Proven experience gained within the NHS in Children's safeguarding as a qualified nurse or social worker
· Ability to deal with highly sensitive and complex matters communicating positively to a rapidly changing environment.
· Ability to engage and build relationships with staff and external partners
· A proactive professional who has responsive approach to work and a team player

BAND: NHS Band 8b/8c - 4/5 days Remote based
LENGTH: 3 months

START: January 2023
