Interim Assistant Company Secretary

 

Woodrow Mercer Healthcare Recruitment are currently recruiting for an interim Assistant Company Secretary to work in an NHS Ambulance Trust. This role is a full-time position which offers remote working.

 

The role is a 9-month Contract starting ASAP.

 

We are seeking individuals who has proven experience of working in an NHS or private healthcare and is looking for an opportunity to further develop their skills.

 

Salary: £220 doe

 

Base: Remote

 

Contract: 9 Months

 


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Attend meetings and take minutes accurately and appropriately recording all discussions and decisions spoken about. Understand and regulate all changes and training with all organisation policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Ensure that effective arrangements are in place for the Board of Directors and Council of Governors to communicate and engage effectively with members and other key stakeholders. Prepare arrangements for a wide-ranging induction of any new Board members. Continue to develop board and committee governance arrangements following national good practice guidance. Certify that the Board Committees, Council of Governors and its corresponding Committees are properly established and formed with clear Terms of Reference and that performance against the Terms of Reference are reviewed annually. Follow up meetings with action sheets and timely production of minutes for agreement with the relevant chair and monitor action against agreed points and ensure these are scheduled for matters arising or the forward planner as appropriate. Head the support for Governors and Membership, in addition to supporting any allocated Committees and fulfilling other duties ensuring that the Council of Governors are supported to function effectively. Aid the organisation in ensuring compliance with the NHS England’s guidance, and other best practice in corporate governance.

 

The ideal candidate will have:
 

  • Experience in the NHS or healthcare establishment is essential. Able to take detailed minutes from meetings and follow up as necessary Experience and knowledge of regulatory matters, NHS compliance and corporate governance. Advanced knowledge and operation of all Microsoft Office software and database systems. Extensive experience in a corporate governance role, ensuring effective mechanisms and administrative support.
