Having recently restructured their operational leadership into service focused teams, this NHS organisation is now looking to appoint an experienced NHS Acute operational lead to support, enhance and provide their expertise across their multi-site Planned Care operations. This is an exciting time to join the organisation for a 6 to 12 month period as you will be able to upskill the team and genuinely leave a legacy of improved waiting list performance and the delivery of a new regional surgery centre.
This Band 9 Director of operations role reports directly into the Chief Operational Officer and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of operational and financial performance for their Planned Care services. A key challenge will be focusing on elective recovery and delivering the organisations waiting list initiative. Part of this will require focused operational grip, part will be providing visible leadership and coaching the planned care team to demonstrate what good looks like, and some will see you supporting the planning and delivery of pathway changes and the establishment of the new regional surgery centre.
We're therefore seeking applications from high calibre Directors of Operations who offer significant expertise in electives: from day to day operational management, waiting list initiatives to improve RTT performance and with a track record of coaching and leading planned care teams to drive improvement.
