We are pleased to be advertising for an new role: Associate Director of People Planning, Resourcing and Deployment. 

This role will provide strategic leadership for 3 critical HR teams.  Effective and efficient recruitment, followed by availability and effective deployment of colleagues is a major risk and concern to our colleagues and has an affect on our patients and our ability to deliver excellent care. This role will have oversight on our strategic approach to having the right people in the right place at the right time.

As a member of the People & Culture Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will report to the Deputy Director of People & Culture and take strategic responsibility for the following portfolios of work:

  • Recruitment
  • Temporary Staffing 
  • E-Rostering
  • People Analytics
  • People Planning
  • Electronic Staff Record

As well as providing leadership to the above teams, the postholder will work alongside the Deputy Director of People & Culture to continuously improve our People Practices in the above areas, so that we get ‘the basics’ right every time for our people. 

The postholder will report to and work closely alongside the Deputy Director of People & Culture.  They will be a key member of the People & Culture Directorate Senior Leadership Team and will line manage:

  • Head of People Analytics
  • Head of Recruitment
  • Head of Temporary Staffing & eRostering

They will need to build close and trusting relationships with their line reports, as well as other key portfolio leads across the People & Culture Directorate.

They will deputise for the Deputy Director of People & Culture as and when required.

They will be a key contributor to delivery of the people elements of our ‘Making a Difference’ strategy through delivery of ‘Our People Plan’.  In doing so, the postholder will contribute to ensuring the Trust’s People & Culture work addresses the NHS National People Plan direction.

The postholder will report to and work closely alongside the Deputy Director of People & Culture.  They will be a key member of the People & Culture Directorate Senior Leadership Team and will line manage:

  • Head of People Analytics
  • Head of Recruitment
  • Head of Temporary Staffing & eRostering

The postholder will work alongside the Deputy Director of People & Culture to continuously improve our People Practices in the above areas, so that we get ‘the basics’ right every time for our people.  The postholder will develop and deliver a strategic response to the Trust recruitment and resources challenges. They will take strategic responsibility for ensuring we have a Temporary Staffing service which meets the needs of our services.  They will be the organisation lead for analysis and provision of people data, as well as the Trust lead for the Electronic Staff Record.  Finally, the postholder will lead on our people planning approach, shaping local plans and contributing regionally and nationally to realise the ambitions in ‘Our People Plan’ to ensure Nottinghamshire Healthcare is ‘diverse, inclusive and a great place to work’.
