Interim Director of Communications and Engagement

Practicus are partnering with an NHS organisation who are seeking Band 9 / VSM Interim Director of Communications and Engagement.

We are looking for an outstanding Director of Communications and Engagement leader, to join the senior leadership team. There has never been a better time to join this organisation as a key part of the new NHS landscape.

As the Director of Communications and Engagement, you will lead the development and implementation of a new communications and engagement strategy. The strategy will align to the four core purposes.

• Improve outcomes in population health and healthcare
• Tackle inequalities in outcome and access
• Enhance productivity and value for money
• Help the NHS deliver broader social and economic development.

Essential:

• Proven previous experience of working at a senior level in a large and/or complex organisation.
• Extensive experience as a communication and engagement leader.
• Experience of devising and implementing highly effective communications, marketing, and engagement strategies in a complex organisation for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in the healthcare sector
• Experience of navigating the media and political stakeholders is highly desirable.

RATE: Band 9 / VSM

START: February start
