We also have a strong focus on education and training – and uniquely, both an Ofsted registration for the integrated school we run; and registration with the Office for Students, for our education and training activity where we are developing plans to have degree awarding ability. One of three mental health Trusts in the North Central London ICS, we also provide services nationally and have an international reputation across a range of mental health services and education activities. We are proud to be a small independent specialist provider of innovative and high- quality services with an annual turnover of c£57m, and around nine hundred committed staff delivering. high quality services. Our last CQC inspection in 2018 rated our Trust ‘Good’.

Now seeing greater investment in mental health to correct years of underfunding, in tandem with a positive shift in societal attitudes to mental health, will strengthen our work to speak up against stigma. This backdrop presents a hugely exciting opportunity for us, those we care for, and our local communities and partners. We will build on the commitments set out in the NHS Long Term Plan and on our existing and pioneering work to take our ambitions forwards.

We are now looking for our new Chief Medical Officer to provide inspirational leadership in our Trust Board and our Medical Directorate to improve the outcomes and experience of people, their families, and staff through the strategic development, sustained organisational quality improvement and excellent corporate management of our Trust.  Particularly, this role will lead clinical changes, improvements, and innovation to achieve better outcomes, prevention, and a better quality of care for all our service users. As professional lead for our medical workforce you will build strong clinical engagement across the trust and enable a strong clinical voice in all our work.

Working with our partners across the Integrated Care Systems (ICS) we are focused on being an organisation where people want to work and where our services provide safe and reliable care for every person, every time.  Our partnerships are a key aspect of our success, and you will need to be skilled at collaboration across partnerships and systems.

This role will require clinical leadership skills with experience as a psychiatrist. With very strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will be experienced in building and developing relationships and partnerships with a variety of stakeholders to get the best outcomes for service users and our workforce.
