Interim Deputy Director of Nursing

Pure Interims are consulting with our NHS Client seeking an experienced Interim Deputy Director of Nursing. This is a 3 month post with hybrid site working operating at Band 9 level.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Director across the full portfolios’ responsibility in their absence and as and when required
• Promote a culture which emphases on high quality, compassionate, safe and effective care
• Lead the team of nurses and midwives to ensure systems and processes are in place related to nursing and midwifery workforce planning, professional nursing governance, education and practice development
• Develop and implement systems to assure and improve the quality of nursing and midwifery care, ensuring that appropriate processes and systems are implemented to monitor quality and outcomes
• Provide expert professional advice to a wide range of staff on highly complex professional and operational issues, develop strategy and implement policy and measure outcomes to assure the quality and safety of nursing and practice
• Leading the development and delivery of clinical and professional standards and the development of leadership capacity within Nursing
• Set the standards and expectations and support the Divisional Nurse Managers in developing systems and processes to ensure that the essentials of nursing care are delivered effectively and efficiently
