This is a highly exciting time to be part of a new and developing Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (ICB). We exist to improve population health, tackle health inequalities, enhance productivity and help the NHS support broader social and economic development, and we have a huge opportunity positively influence the long-term health and wellbeing of residents across our wide and diverse geography.

Our geographical area sits in the heart of the Thames Valley, where people enjoy good health, but where there are areas of severe deprivation that hold back the life chances for some people with the negative consequence often seen through their lifelong health and care needs.

We work in close partnership with local authorities, NHS trusts and the voluntary and private sectors, listening to our people and communities in order to find the best possible ways to provide the services they want and need. Across our geography we have so many fantastic opportunities to harness the capacity and capabilities of our partners across the voluntary sector, education, life sciences, community, and faith leadership alongside our partners in health and local government.

We are therefore seeking to recruit an experienced, determined and inspirational leader who is committed to achieving this vision and who can build effective partnerships with our wide range of stakeholders. A values-based leader who can be a role model for compassionate leadership and help, as a member of the Exec team, to shape and develop the BOB ICB culture.

The Chief Delivery Officer will provide strategic, authentic leadership and be instrumental in the design and delivery of our strategy to provide effective and high-quality services to nearly two million people who live and work in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West.  The postholder will take the lead for the development of system wide plans, monitoring performance and variation, driving continuous improvements in quality of care and health outcomes and improvements in performance against NHS Constitution standards, providing oversight and assurance on system performance, and on key service transformations.

We are keen to welcome fresh ideas and expertise to lead our ICB, with people who are passionate about achieving positive change – and your leadership experience can come from any background: from health, local or national Government, from the private or the third sectors.

If you are up for this challenge, have strong public service values and want to apply your diverse skills and experience in an environment where you can make a lasting impact on people’s lives, we want to hear from you. We are being supported in this appointment by Alumni Global and would encourage you to contact Simon Green or David Heaton on 07842 003200 for a confidential conversation about the role and visit the microsite to apply.
