Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is the major health and wellbeing provider for a population of 1.8 million people across Lancashire and South Cumbria.  A provider of mental health and learning disability services and community based services we employ over 7,000 members of staff operating in 25 CQC registered sites with an annual budget of over c£500 million. We are on an exciting journey of improvement and transformation, we are refreshing and refocusing our strategy and with significant leadership changes including the appointment of David Fillingham CBE as our new Chair and Chris Oliver as our interim Chief Executive.

At this exciting time in our development, we are building a leadership team to continue our journey of learning and improvement and are seeking to appoint  to a new executive post of Chief Digital and Infrastructure Officer who will work closely with, and report to, our Chief Executive.  As a key member of our Executive Team, you will make a significant impact on the Trust’s future growth and have responsibility for the provision of digitally enabled, safe, patient care. You will play a crucial role in developing our digital and estates agenda, working closely with stakeholders at all levels of our organisation and system, you will lead on the delivery of our digital and estates strategy, which underpins our clinical strategy.  The creation of this new executive role comes at an exciting time for our corporate services. As a Trust we have invested significantly in our capital programme and see digital as one of the ways to truly transform our interactions with service users, putting them at the centre of their care as well as supporting our colleagues in their demanding roles. The role will also oversee our Corporate Services review as part of our wider system collaborations. This role will be central to building a culture and reputation for quality and innovation; ensuring our systems, data and estates both support and empower our colleagues and our service users to achieve their potential.

We are keen to hear from experienced, inspiring and values-based digital leaders with significant experience of operating at or close to Board level in large complex publicly accountable environments.  NHS experience is desirable but not essential; you will be able to forge constructive and productive working relationships across organisational boundaries and embed a person-centred, collaborative, and joined up approach to using digital, data, technology and estates to support effective transformational change.  Empowering our people and maximising the impact of our investments, you will lead our capable teams in delivery of modern digital and estates services that contribute significantly to the achievement of our vision.
