To this end Moorfields have developed a new 5-year strategic plan to allow for more collaboration with key partners and to drive the development of clinical pathways and the discovery of new treatments.

There is now an exciting opportunity to join the Trust’s finance team as a Finance Business Partner within the corporate team. As the principal finance contact for the corporate operational division, this is a vital role in ensuring the effective use of the division’s financial resources. This post will also provide a full range of advice to the Divisional Senior Management Team to ensure budgets are appropriately maintained and financial results are reported accurately.

Key responsibilities also include:

• Supporting the Corporate Divisional Leadership team, Executive Board members, and all budget holders in user friendly terms to enable the achievement of their financial responsibilities. Ensuring that the Trust Commercial reporting (Dubai) is accurately reflected within the Trust overall financial reporting. Providing integrated income and expenditure performance, capital financial planning, and financial accountancy and forecasting advice. Supporting the Education department in the costing of all external training and provide integrated income and expenditure performance, capital financial planning, and financial accountancy and forecasting advice. To lead the a team of two and directly manage the Senior Management Accountant, setting objectives and work priorities as appropriate and marshalling the available resources in the most appropriate and efficient manner.

This is an important role within Moorfields Eye Hospital whereby the successful applicant would find themselves working closely with Senior Leadership and Executive Board members in an interesting and challenging setting. Applicants must be qualified within a CCAB body with considerable experience in NHS Financial Management and an ability to command credibility and respect from operational managers and colleagues up to Board level.
