Our client is a leading Foundation Trust which provides mental health, autism care, learning disability and physical health services in Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber, to around 750,000 people.

It is a little bit different and in transition, and over the next five years they will use that difference to try to really transform outcomes and tackle health inequalities, and this is a real chance for someone to help shape what they do and how it is achieved.

Most services are rated good or outstanding and staff survey results consistently suggest the Trust is a good place to work with positive relationships and some real strengths around psychological safety and inclusion.  The Trust has a high calibre unitary Board, and the new Chief Operating Officer will join a team that is shaping up to support a very ambitious and radical five-year strategy.  That strategy will put the communities that we serve at the very heart of the Trust as it aims to be become recognised as among the NHS’s first “community powered organisations”.

This is a fast-paced transition requiring someone who wants to make a real difference.  The Trust benefits from outstanding research capability and strong service-user partnerships., and wants to bridge those two assets and create a listening enterprise that experiments for the right results, and which can deliver services to be proud of.  As Chief Operating Officer you will have day-to-day responsibility for everything we do clinically, leading our Care Groups and influencing the wider leadership.  You will need to work constructively in our place partnerships and in the two provider collaboratives of which we are a part.  Making a difference matters most to us, so we are looking for a colleague who is focused on improving care.
